Disputing a credit card charge
The process of disputing credit card charges, while designed to protect consumers, is often complex, lengthy, and frustrating. Consumers face challenges with uncooperative merchants, opaque processes, and the risk of chargeback reversals, while merchants grapple with 'friendly fraud' and rising costs. This creates significant pain points for both parties, indicating a need for more efficient and transparent digital solutions.

"Very disappointing experience with dispute handling."
"I had to go so far as to completely cancel my Amex account to get Lifestyle Fitness to stop billing me. American Express utterly refused to either chargeback, or deny future billings. To the point a new card number issued didn't even fix it. I was quite happy to sign a waiver that I'd take all liability. This was after moving states, calling to cancel, and them saying I needed to fly in to cancel in person. Outright scam that the banks help enable."
