Mind mapping software
The mind mapping software market is a large and growing niche, valued at over $1.7 billion and projected to reach over $5 billion by 2032. While many solutions exist, users express significant frustration with prevalent subscription models, outdated user interfaces in some tools, lack of cross-platform and offline capabilities, and limitations in handling complex, non-hierarchical data structures. This creates a strong opportunity for new software offerings that address these specific pain points.

"Every year I try to find a good, cross-platform mind mapping app that runs on as many platforms as possible, does not rely on an online or subscription service, and is not prohibitively expensive, but I end up going through the same options: MindNode (which I use and love but doesn’t have a Windows version, let alone Linux), Freemind (which looks and works pretty badly on modern systems), and all sorts of other things (Mindmeister, Xmind, etc.) which have either gone fully online or all out on expensive subscriptions."
"Obnoxiously, the vast majority of mind mapping SW is subware crap, which is a totally inappropriate model for document creation SW."
